We all want our guests when walking into our homes to go “wow, this carpet feels a million dollars” – then Plushwalk is the underlay for you.
Plushwalk 12mm has become extremely popular over recent years but despite this you may not have heard of it. So positively, it is a British developed product and it excels in quality like no other underlay on the market today. It has a thickness of 12mm making it thicker than other brands on the market such as Cloud 9 Cumulus and Tredaire Dreamwalk. It gives a Sound Reduction of 48db approx. and a high TOG Rating (Thermal Insulation) of 3.4.
The reviews are fantastic and truly reflect the brilliance of the Plushwalk carpet underlay range, is just that good. Many sellers of the product will offer samples for you to check out its quality and they guarantee that if you’re not happy with Plushwalk they will collect your underlay from your house free of charge and give you a full refund. This gives you peace of mind especially if you are one of those to doubt what you read online. Plushwalk also comes with a guarantee that it will outlast the lifetime of your carpet.
If you want more information then one of the few authorised online distributors of the Plushwalk carpet underlay range are ” Carpet Underlay Shop “
How do I order free samples please?
Where can we buy this, we are from Glossop in the Peak District? Thanks
Hi. I am interested in the Plush-walk 12. As i want the ultimate underlay available for my home, this underlay should allow exceptional results/ feel when walking on my carpet. I am based in Leicester which store can i pop in and collect the rolls.
Thanks
If I put down this Plushwalk 12 then lay 6 or 9mm Plywood on top, can I then top with 16mm Engineered Wood as my finished flooring?
The biggest issue you may have is with movement once laid which may cause the wood joins to part. The plywood board maywell prevent that but it would be worth testing on a small area.
If you need anything else please let me know.
There’s a lot of conflicting advice online as how to lay underlay. Which method do you recommend for the Plushwalk 12mm?
Plushwalk 12 underlay really is simple to lay. Both sides of the foam are covered with a damp proof membrane and these are usaully laid with the logo side up. If you lay it the other way round it woont be a problem
Simply roll the underlay out along the length of your room, cut and then roll the next piece out alongside the first, eventually covering your room. Not absolutely necessary but we recommend using some carpet tape to join the pieces together and if there is any concerns re damp, use barrier pro x tape.
Once the underlay is cut, and covers the room surface simply roll out and cut your carpet, stretch fitting to the grippers around the edges.
If you are doing this yourself you will need some basic tools such as a knee kicker and a carpet tucker. Plushwalk underlay is one of the easiest to fit as it cuts so well.
Hope that helps
